My worst nightmare was saving up all the money in the world (when I was 7 it was £8) to by the lastest C64 game, being driven home by my mum, and inserting the cassette to find out after 15minutes of loading time watching stupid colours and listening to silly noises it wouldnt work for love or money.
17 Years later in a simular situation I have brought Armed Assault driven home in my own car installed within 3mins and my Core2Duo and 8800GTX and WTF!!! the memorys come back again....
Why bring a game out with this many bugs. Is this day and age its totally unexceptable! Take it back, I'd rather take my chances with the Commadore.
Dont bring a game out till its ready then we dont have to wait 4 months for the 3rd patch to fix it all!!

I don't see why you would expect things to have changed. Whilst I am a ArmA fanboy, I am also a developer. Every year, something new comes along and you have to adjust and adapt. Had we still be using C64, then yes, I'd expect no bugs. We have moved on, so of course pushing forwards is going to be tricky.

Plus, games are not cheap to make. So when the developer says "We were running out of money", I kinda understand releasing it early. Buggy game > no game.

Now, what bugs are yea all having problems witheth? The details are somewhat lacking from your posts.

Where should I start, I wont conclude the silly little problems like the game crashing to desktop every 5 mins etc. My main gripe is the fact I have an 8800 and Dual Core and I'm being punished for it. As I've read in many forums there seems to be in game texture problems with this hardware. Patch 1.05 just made things worse than they already where. So the game is installed and just sitting there as after 2 mins of playing I'm left with around 5 colours and 2 different textures. Role on stalker ( hopefully this will be finished they've had long enough ;) )

To be honest though, the previous game was bugged to hell on release, and 10 minutes googling would have told you that this one is a mess aswell. Put it down to experience, eh?

remeber that this game is made by a fairly small studio in Czech republic and on a pretty limited budget.. hence why the game is only £18.. So id imagine some bugs to creap through..

As for bugs crashing to desktop etc, this is all hardware specific so cant really judge on that but my 8800 GTS hasnt crashed yet.. nor has it done the 5 colours thing..

give it some time no doubt it will get fixed for urs setup too..
