Got this today, but having 1 main issue with the helicopter controls..

I cant seem to get pedal Left and Right to work as it should, it should make the helicopter turn. But it just seems to make the chopper tunr a bit and start leaning. It just dosnt like turning?

What am i doing wrong. I was a bloody good pilot in BF2 and even liked flying choppers in OpFlash, but this just dosnt seem to be functioning corretly. Am i doing it wrong ? or is there some sort of other keyboard control..

Using the mouse for Bank and Yaw / Pitch

A D - Pedal left and right
W S - For thrust..

Some help would be nice :)

No idea, mine doesn't react correctly either. I can't turn without it 'kicking'. I know a bug with the flight physics have been reported (he says!).

"bloody good pilot in BF2"

I never like to see the words 'pilot' and 'BF2' used in the same sentance.

hehe...
Well i having a bit more join now.. i had a conflict on the mouth with Turn Left and Right.. which seems to be a Bank and Turn at the same time function .. very odd.

Still dosnt turn using the tail motor thingy properly. It wobbles all over the shop even when nothings being pressed.

i shall contiue to practise now i know its not broken atleast :)

At speed useing the tail to turn is useless, its the same in real life, you have to bank like a plane would.

However, if your hovering or going at low speed, you can use the tail to turn.

Why is that?

Because, due to the fact that the maps are small, physics have been tweaked with somewhat. Yeap, the helicopters are better then the jets, but they are still 'simplified'.

Choppers in BF2 were a huge improvement physics wise, over BF Vietnam. A step in the right direction.

The Jets and Helis do take skill in BF2, obviously its not like Flight Sim with all 150 odd controls lol. Noob pilots who shouldn't even be defined as pilots are those who use the J-10 and rape the carrier all day, no skill what so ever.

bf2 heli is quite good for an arcade game but its no qualification in any other game. Its far too easy to call it a skill, prmm is a bit more difficult but Im not sure that makes it any more realistic.

Maybe your worse at AA because you think it should be like bf2

Haven't played AA, but I prefer BF2's flying system anyway. Im not one for Sims tbh.

Well BF2 is the only recent game with helicopters in i have played.. But Op-Flash seemed to have more controllable physics for its helicopter... at least as far as i remember. Either way.. the main issue was the key conflict which i have now fixed... As for the flying "skill" i will continue to practise.
