having seen screenshots of this game it looks far better than bf2, so im wondering when will it be out? i need some decent to play!!

it says Q1 2006 so its gonna be out soon.

Im looking forward to this also, been thinking of reinstalling Flashpoint but thought against it. Armed assault looks great

BIS have yet to confirm if they have a publisher yet.

EDIT: BTW, bad idea to compair ArmA to BF2, simply because ArmA is much much more a simulation.

OFP is considered the best in its field even now by many...

It was fantastic mainly due to its editor and community...but the scope of everything too.

So yes, Armed Assault is referred to generally as OFP1.5 as far as i know.

Pap!!!
Tis a great game, still play it a lot at lan parties.
Huge maps, fairly clever AI, great gameplay, decent vehicles etc. etc. etc
All in an old game.

I'm hoping AA will still have the Op Flash magic

AA is OFP.

OFP is not pap, its real war on your computer, none of this bunny hopping, gain armour and weapons malarky that pass for games these days.
