Anyone getting this? Just ordered it. Love the series so hopefully some other folks might want to make a team for the game.

Also, can anyone recommend a headset for ps3? Thanks

Played AC4 and ACfA, never played any of the previous games, but I loved those two. Didn't even realise it came out, promptly ordered from the rainforest. Really looking forward to it, can't wait until it arrives! :D

Got it on 360 though, so won't be able to play with you :(

I've played a hell of a lot of it today.

It's really good, especially the multiplayer, they've really really made PvP more team based and it's definitely for the better.

The only thing I've found is that the framerate is pretty damn appalling. I've had to stop playing a bit because I've got a headache from it.

Oooh never played any of these but I was thinking the other day about how awesome Mech Warrior used to be.

Found the game on my doormat last night, took a while to get to grips with the menu layouts and such, but as soon as I changed the controls to resemble more what I had on AC4/ACfA, I was having a ball with it.

The story missions are a tad challenging at times though. A, B and C ranks all over the shot :( As always with an Armored Core game, I have absolutely no idea which parts to use and so on, something that will come with time I assume. I love the new scale of the mechs, makes city combat a lot more involving. Only thing I have trouble with is jumping up buildings, I tend to fly off in random directions instead of actually going up :/

Love it though :D

I actually sold it for more than I got it for in the end.

It could be one of the best games I've ever played. The gameplay is fantastic. The problem is the matchmaking and conquest mode.

You have to grind invasion missions to get team points to do conquests. You get 10,000 - 20,000 points per mission and you need 150-200,000 to do a conquest mission.

Then when you finally do one one, there's no way of the other team knowing you're invading, so you usually fight bots in the end anyway.

Such a shame

Really?????

Yeah, and this is coming from a "fan" (as much as I hate to form an allegiance to a product) of Armored Core (I own most of the games).

Like I said, it's probably one of the best games I've ever played gameplay wise. It felt as refreshing as playing Demon's Souls for the first time.

But the actual game is so flawed it's a tragedy. It's also worth noting that the framerate on the PS3 version is terrible. It pretty much averaged 15-25 for me, it's just not acceptable.

I might buy it again when it drops in price, but it's just not worth £29.99 considering how broken the online is.

On the plus side, I got a Gioteck Ex2 headset for PS3 and it's fantastic.

I've not delved into the conquest aspect at all yet, so to hear all this is slightly disapointing. From what I can remember, that's pretty much the same method that Chromehounds did at times (making bots fill in for enemy teams). Shame to see they haven't advanced that at all.

It's like Chromehounds but broken.

If they make a patch which fixes the problems, I'd buy the game again in a heartbeat.
