Anyone been to army selection before ?

im just wondering about the drugs test's they do, is it a urine sample or a hair sample ? or ?

Had one stupid day with cannabis with mates, and yeh believe it or not, it was only 1 day, on my birthday (bring on the your a idiot posts anyway ;))

but yeh i was accepted for selection after 2 long years, unbelievably chuffed, but that one stupid day in the last month is gonna shadow over me if i dont get some answers.

i heard something along the lines of they dont do a drugs test at selection, they just do a urine sample to test for diabetes and stuff, but then if you pass selection, on phases 1 training, that's when they do the drugs test ?

im stupid for doing it for even a single day i know, and if it jeopardize's me getting into the army, then it will kill me, because ive been through 3 operations just to get to selection in the last 2 years.
 
nah am not fat, it wasnt just a one off as in one smoke, had a few in that day, not sure if that matters and i know all the info about how long it can stay in your system and stuff, urine is a matter of days, hair is a matter of months, but its all about what the army test, and when

they probably will, obviously the best way to go is not to lie, ill say i did have some canabis on my birthday but thats all, i think they dont mind if you done cannabis BEFORE the selection or before you start training, its everything after you have signed the agreemant or whatever it is.

only a guess though.

It may not be a drug test before you go, but once your in: be warned they do sporadic CDT tests, where the drugs test teams tip up unexpected and univited, lock down the regiment and everyone gets drug tested.

which reminds me, we havent had one for a while, but then again i have nothing to worry about :)

so your in the army are you ?, and they didnt do a drugs test at selection ? just a urine test ofr diabete's ect ?

the same as if i go blown up by a IED.

and i supose i just gotta hope for the best, its a 50/50 realy, on what the best thing is to do, own up, or just say i havnt had anything, because if i say i havnt done anything and they find traces of it, i will get binned for lying surely ?

It'll be out of your system by now. I smoked weed at a party once to then be told about a drugs test for my upcoming job which I had to book in the next two weeks. If I remember correctly it was about 10 days inbetween and I passed.

The opiates nearly failed though because of the cocodamol I'd been taking.

whats the point in a drugs test then ?

all what ive heard is people have had drugs and passed lol, well whats the point in one then :D

is it for hard drugs or what
