Blast and damn! I can't get an Akasa Amber fan out of my old case due to a boared screw head. Screw might as well be a rivot now.

It's just dying to get into my brand new tidy Akasa Omega to cool my new gtx280.

Can anyone email me a decent set of pliers?? :D

The Omega is a great case btw. Easy to do a tidy build, and my system temps have dived.

Could drill through it. Or maybe a pair of plliers from the inside of the case turning the screw from the thread end.

And yes, the Omega is a very nice case. The internal space is just cavernous! :D

If you are near me, I have some JML wrong way rounf screw extractor wotsits. They should work fine. I can lend you them.

i had a similar problem with a akasa fan. to remove it from my case i had basically yank it out using a tool which i forget what its called but its used basically stripe wire, remove screws/bolts and all that. worked well expect it left a slight mark on the acrylic. which wasnt really a problem.

I had the same thing happen to a screw for a Yate loon fan - tried drilling the head out out but it melted the plastic around it, so I ended up dremeling the side from closed fan to open, taking the fan off and using pliers to unscrew it.
