Hey guys,

I've been having a few issues lately with my setup/O'C etc and tonight I suddenly realised it might be something to do with the bios update I did recently before xmas...

A mate on msn with a similar setup suggested me to 'Load Optomised Settings' in the bios and work from there? I should have listened to him :(

Now my raid0 has gone and I can't seem to get it back? Normally when I update/clear the bios I just re-enable raid from the menu, do a couple of re-boots and its fine but this time when the Intel controller menu comes up, it says I have a 'Member0' disk and a 'Non-RAID disk' - I tried to clear the cmos on the motherboard but when I did that and booted back up, it still had the old time/date stored? Maybe I should try that again, as it doesn't seem to have cleared the settings?

Failing that has anyone else go any ideas?

Cheers,

SW.

I tried again this morning and I still get the problem :(

My motherboard can see both the drives, but the Intel raid controller seems to think I only have one, active anyway.

When I go back into the boot priority selector I only see 1 of the drives... I usually see the Intel raid thing, implying that both the drives are working.

If I go into the Intel controller I've only got limited options, I can't create a new array because there is 'not enough room' I don't want to delete the array and if I convert the drives to non-raid all my data will be lost won't it?

I can't believe this is all a results of my loading optimised settings

Any help would be much appreciated...

Cheers,

SW.

Looks like the one drive has lost the RAID info and isn't considered part of an array anymore. Don't think you'll be able to do much with it due to the limited repair options in the Intel RAID bios.
So its a format/re-install then...

There isn't anything else I can do :(

Is there no way I can convert them to non-raid disks and then convert them back again? Would that work?

SW.
