OK, I have just added a third monitor to my setup.

It is configured like this:

Primary 22" monitor and secondary 17" monitor connected to a 260 GTX, set to 1680x1050 and 1280x1024 respectively.

Third monitor is 17", connected to a 9500GT secondary card, set to 1280x1024.

Here is my problem:

Every time I reboot or wake the computer from sleep the nvidia drivers set the main 22" monitor to 1280x1024, and displays this:

It's immensely frustrating, because not only do I have to keep manually setting it back to 1680x1050, it also messes up my icon placements.

Please help, it's driving me insane

Yep, tried ultramon and display fusion, but the nvidia drivers just keep overriding any settings on boot and wake-up.

OK, looks like I've cracked it. I had to disable the 'Nvidia Display Driver Service' in services.
