I had a job interview last Tuesday, 2nd and final stage. Did a presentation, did the interview, all went really well and the interviewer seemed really impressed.

Was told that a decision would be made 'in a couple of days' and that they'd be in touch.

I'd hoped that I would have heard today at the latest, but alas, no. Looks like I've got at least another 2 days of...., I don't even know what I feel, its a mixture of excitement and fear I guess.

I really really want this job so would love to get a phone call asap saying that I have it, but a call saying I haven't would at least allow me to relax again, albeit a very sad form of relaxation :(

Everyone said that I should have called them today and chased it up, by my viewpoint is that if/when they know they'll tell me. Either way, I'm going to fire of a short email on monday afternoon if I've still not heard anything.

Its the waiting thats killing me. I wouldn't be so bad but this is my perfect job.

How did you guys cope when waiting to hear about your jobs?

well, I've been waiting since February to start my job, and had 2 interviews 7 months apart, so I'm quite frankly peeved that they're being quite useless about it, I've applied for other job while I'm waiting, ut this would look way better on my CV than any other job going.

But I call them up at least once a month to find out what's going on and if I can start yet, or email them, but I'd definitly chase them up if I were you, make yourself look keen to get it and all

Call them, if you're polite you'll just come across as being eager. Which is hardly a bad thing. Calling them up all the time, shouting at them or whatever, is a no-no. Beats waiting around and it shows a little initiative.
