It seems that a lot of Arsenal fans are now asking serious questions about whether Arsene Wenger is able to dig Arsenal out of the rut they are in (going on 9 years without a trophy).

I think it's fair to say that he has been an excellent manager for them but doesn't seem to have what it takes any longer. His transfers have seemed rushed and poor for the most part.

Do Arsenal need a new manager?

How much longer should Wenger get?

If so, who should they attempt to get as a replacement?

I don't think the likes of Jurgen Klopp would be a realistic target for them. I think Moyes could be an improvement, it seems that he's looking to leave Everton and Arsenal will give him better funds to work with.

It does seem that Arsenal won't sack him though, so he'll need to walk, and he's seemingly extremely stubborn.

I don't see why it should be expected that Wenger can compete against clubs with billionaire sugar daddies. He's playing an unfair game and doing reasonably well.

A new manager isn't going to help long-term. Either Arsenal need to find someone who is willing to pump money into the club (i.e. not Stan Kroenke) or they need to hope that the financial fair play rules actually do what they're supposed to do.

Man Utd, Everton and Spurs aren't exactly bankrolled by the likes of Sheikh Mansour/Abramovich.

Man Utd have one the greatest managers of all time and have an incredible worldwide following. Neither Spurs nor Everton have ever finished above Arsenal in the league since Wenger took over.

Yes, but it looks like they might now!

Someone made a good point previously that the 'War Chest' always appears when fans are due to renew their season tickets.

Unless Wenger is ridiculously deluded, he surely can't have that much money to spend, if you've got £50-80m odd sat ready to spend, you'd be straight in for someone like Cavani when van Persie left, not penny pinching with Giroud.

No matter what Wenger may claim, there's just no way he believes someone like Diaby is a viable, Champions League quality first team player. If he does, then he needs to be sacked before he can do any more damage.

I also heard someone on the Telegraph's football weekly podcast (I think it was) say that Wenger has seemed very different and not the same person since he suffered a 'great personal tragedy' a few years ago - he didn't say what it was though.
