Arsenal Sign Alexandre Song

Doesn't make any sense.

He is NOT Arsenal quality.. infact he isn't FOOTBALL quality. He can't find a team mate 5 yards away and generally looks scared to death whenever he recieves the ball.

Arsene Wenger hasn't got any signings wrong so far and can't see him starting now.

He's obviously signed him because he's spotted some potential in him so given a bit of time i'm sure he'll develop into a decent player.

Francis Jeffers, Pascal Cygan, Pennant?

Igor Stepanovs? Kaba Diarreah... Even though I think we got lucky in receiving so much money for him, I still rate Anelka as a massive flop, not only at arsenal, but in almost every club he's played for since!

Sometimes he's got a quality player, but then hasn't been able to fully utilize him to his ability. I really rate Van Bronckhurst but he never got a really long run in the team, same as Edu and Matthew Upson tbh.

LOL the thing is Reyes has the talent to become a great player, its his fault that he decides to play like a numpty...although now and again he shows some of that brilliance that made Arsene sign him in the first place ;):p

Coming from a fan of a club that spent £28mill on Veron eh :D

Oh and we spent £10.5mill flat fee on Reyes + extras for goals and success etc. So not the £17mill figure you have been throwing at us for the past 2 years ;)

17.5 million for reyes WTF? ;)

TWENTY MILLION for Reyes WTF?

The team success bit is a problem, as thats part of his price whether you like it or not, the initial fee is 10.5.

Of course, if it was you slagging Rooney or something we would be straight to 27 million.
;)

Agreed on the first, second yeah I suppose but Cygan has been handy to have around and has proved pretty capable in the more tactical, slower-paced CL.

Pennant isn't a bad player, and not a flop at all. He just had a bad attitude problem and liked the drink, something Wenger won't stand for at all. He is proving at Birmingham what a great player he is.

Jeffers had the talent but never seemed to fit in with Arsenal's style of play. Cygan plays well occassionally but then seems to forget how to move his feet. Pennant was a good player but was up against an in-form Pires and Ljungberg who were both fantastic.

Jeffers didn't fit in with our style of play and doesn't really fit in with anyone's style of play.

Flopped with Everton (unless you count reserve goals.. which you shouldn't, a whole different level) flopped with us, flopped with Rangers and flopped with Charlton.

A flop. Flop floppity flop.

Flopped with Everton? He scored 20 goals in 60 appearances, a lot of them from the bench, at a time when Everton weren't playing well at all. I wouldn't call that a flop (especially as his form caused Wenger to spend £10m on him).

I think the trouble with him was the fact that he probably was a fox in the box - which is why wenger signed him. But I don't think we really play with a Jeffer/RVN type of player that well. A lot of our goals are tap-ins, but they're scored by midfielders who contribute much more so to other parts of our play; something that jeffers I felt never really did.

Also he did have a tendancy to bottle it a lot...

Altogether he had 20 goals in 70 appearences..

I mean it's alright, but hardly Earth shattering stuff.

:D

Is Franny Jeffers your brother or something? :p

If not, which I suspect is the case, I suggest you set yourself down with me and admit he is the most useless player since... the beginning of time.. or something.
