Hi.
Im interested in buying the book 'Art Of War'.
The problem is though, that theres so many different versions of it out.
Which one is the one i should be getting?

Thanks in advance.

I got the R. Sawyer translation, this is one of the most popular ones. I found it great, can get it damn cheap too from the jungle place, and next to nothing second hand.

Same here, great book.

Whats the difference between the versions?
The R. Sawyer version is a pocket guide by the looks of it?

There are so many brilliant quotations from Sun Tzu - I am not sure that I understand them all, I think almost everything in the book is based on metaphor...

It's how the Chinese Language sometimes work, by explaning a meaning through the means of a story. It is like little poems, elegant yet effective. The problem with that is when it comes to translation it is often difficult to translate and even for cultures who are not used to using metaphor as part of their language difficult to grasp
