Hi Guys I have had this problem for a while. I got given a Hyundai 24 inch monitor but I get blue flashing lines going horizontally across the screen. I first thought that this was a problem with the gpu but after I upgraded to my 7870 xt I am still having this problem. The blue lines appear after I have used my computer for a while and then go if I leave the computer alone for a couple of hours.

I have tried changing monitors and there aren't any lines on the other monitor. I went to Hyundai it which said that if I lower the screen resolution then they would go away - and they did but when I tried to game at lower resolution the lines came back ...... help please

077tommy: Had Hyundai 24"monitor, (can't remember which model now, but it had a IPS or S-PVA screen), which developed same fault, blue, plus green lines across screen.
Also with mine I would loose picture completely, but if you switched off for a while, then switched it on again, it would be ok for awhile.

I had a lot of hassle with RMA, cheekey ******** replaced screen with a cheaper TN version:mad:, so I RMA it again & eventually got a full refund for mine, after threatening to use the small claims court (bought from competitor :o) & I then went back to Samsung monitors.

Common problem, as there are threads on OcUK, back in 2007-2009.

Thanks for the help .... If I can I will RMA the monitor and get a refund but my Dad gave it to me and he had it for a while so they will most likely attempt to reject the RMA as warranty expired - but thanks anyway !!!!! (this is why I love overclockers forum, really great advice)

Hyundai warranty was 3 years, & your monitor must be well past that.

My memory is correct, the problem is the same that trouble some Samsung monitors, SM226BW was one with bad bulging cheap capacitors.

It was a simple job to replace the six faulty ones yourself, with a quality ones from Panasonic,Rubycon, etc.

The service agent for Hyundai are Letmerepair.com, might be worth contacting them first or Hyundai & see what you answers you get.
