HI all

as suggested by others in the last week i ordered the Artic accelero

its dropped thru the door this morning and i will hopefully be fitting it this afternoon. i just have a couple of questions that im hoping your kind selves can help with,

firstly it comes with a special head sink for i think its the memory regulator.

i seem to remember hearing that it might not be compatible with the 8800gts can anyone confirm or deny that for me?

secondly, installing the heatsinks for the ram, i got some akasa thermal tape as suggested, do i need to take the provided tape off the heatsink then apply the akasa stuff? if so how do i remove the tape and do i need to clean the heatsinks after doing so?

Hi,

If you've got the Accelero S1 Rev. 2 then it's compatible with the 8800GTS - G92. The Accelero Xtreme 8800 is compatible with the 8800GTS - G80 version, according to Arctic Cooling.

As for the second part can't answer as used the pre-applied stuff with mine.
