hi all,

i fitted this cooler and im getting temperatures of 50c seti load and 43 idle with 35/36c case temps (hot room) is this way too high for this cooler as I've read its meant to be very good. A lot better than what I get temperature wise.

people who run this did you wipe the paste that came on the bottom of the hs off before fitting it and apply good stuff? if so does this make a lot of difference?

thanks for any help.

The paste that comes with the Artic64 is mx1, which is just about as good as AS5, so theres no point replacing it really. However your temperatures are quite high, so it might be worth removing the heatsink, cleaning the thermal paste off, replacing it and reseating the heatsink.

Your temps aren't high at all considering your case temperature. Most people seem to report hgh 30's to low 40's but they'll probably have case temps at least 10C lower.
