Artic Silver shelf life

Hi everyone

My HSF has collected a ton of dust causing my cpu to get as hot as 85degrees. Im going to take it off clean it up and put it back on. I have some Arctic Silver from about 3 years ago still in its (previously opened) syringe. Would this be ok to use to recreate the seal between my HS and CPU?

LOL - on a serious note, I just let a bit run and wipe it off to reveal the fresh stuff underneath - its probably a load of nonsense on my half, but makes me feel better about it
