Artic silvering a heatsink

I will soon be fitting a AMD 4400 chip with the stock heat sink and fan .

I would like to use Artic silver 5 to attach it.

Does the cooler come with an adhesive pad fixed on and if so do i need to remove it 1st and if so what is the best way?

thanks w3 if i go for another which out of those would you reccomend and are they very tall compared to the original?

also are you saying dont bother with the as5 on the stock because its a lot of hassle getting the original sticker off?

by the way is the 4400 x2 a k7 chip cuz thats what it says the themaltake is for?
