Artifacting when cold.

I have a HD6950 and it performs very well, but whenever it is fairly cool,
i.e. 40-50C it artefacts really quite badly, should I be unduly worried? Apart from this it copes fine with anything else I can throw at it, survived an hour of Furmark with no problems so I assume its more of an oddity than a problem. I tried it without overclocking it but it still artefacts,same story with locking the shaders again (using a mod not a straight flash)... so any ideas?

If its like that when cool, personally i would RMA the card to be on the safe side.

What are the speed of the gpu and memory clocks?

Sorry, I mean at idle? Those ones above are at load.

I'm just wondering if it's something to do with the 'cold' bug that some of the 5000 series ATI cards had.

500/1000 at 1V.
But the artefacts only appear when the card then gets put under load.
