Artifacts on R9 280x toxic

Could having not enough power cause artifacts and that? I have an

650watt PSU
i7 950
x58 sabertooth mb
12GB triple channel ram
1 SSD + 2 harddrives,
bluray drive
xifi titanium soundcard
Sapphire R9 280x Toxic

the 650 watt should be more than capable of running all that right?

650w should be fine for that. Even if it's a cheap PSU and only supplying 2/3 of that.

Is your 280 at stock? Have you tried different drivers?

yeah its at stock and now on 13.11 beta 9.2 still artifacts so dunno if its bad memory maybe?

Depends on what that looks like, can you post some screen-shots? we would be able to tell you more when we see it for our selves.

After 10-15 minutes of work with this card, above errors showing up and after that i got a information in system tray: drivers stopped responding and has recovered.

Thats an odd one, it looks like it could be Memory but i'm not sure with that.

Looks like faulty memory, would RMA that.

does it only do it on one game? or is it across a few?

If its at its stock settings and still does it I would RMA it tbh. If you have recently bought it then you could dsr

I've got the same card and been having exact same issues, doesnt matter what drivers I try I still get the artifacts, sometimes just minor annoyance like odd text flicker, sometimes the whole game goes crazy with stretched pixel looking things all over the place.
Just had it BSOD on me too, saying something about memory!

This is by no means the first thread on here mentioning problems with the Toxic, I've seen quite a few crop up over the last few weeks.

I'd RMA it and get something else tbh.

a quick google reports AMD is aware of a flickering issue and the driver team are working on a fix and to use driver-AMD Catalyst 13.10 WHQL (13.200.0.0 September 11) you can download it here:

Lots of users reporting it stops flickering, try that driver.

If it works, report back as it will be helpful for others.

That's the driver I was just using that BSoD me.

BF4 was where i noticed it, did it straight away in CoD ghosts, wasnt really anything in Crysis 3, think it does it on rift... i only got it like 4 days before BF4 came out so bin hammering that. anything before beta 8 crashes BF all the time so its useless for me.

Might wait to see if the drivers fix it when its out of beta if not ill RMA it then maybe get the below it or is there a problem with all sapphire 280x's?
