This was mentioned on TV this morning, about some guys programme that is playing 80's computer games and learning and beating them, including us humans. He has since sold his programme to Google for 430 million.

Stephen Hawking has sent out a warning ref this. What are your thoughts on this, and is it going to be a case of judgement day sometime soon.

The most dangerous thing I can think of is if some kind of AI creates a killer virus(physical type) or the like else what are they going to do, hijack a robot factory and start spawning robots?

I just watched IM: Dead Reckoning… AI is scary as hell!!!

On a serious note, no matter how smart the AI will become, there will always be that one “user” will manage to find a way of breaking it, with their illogical method of use or understanding…. Human stupidity will triumph over Artificial Intelligence!

I’ve sent out a message to over 400 users with a simple one step instruction as it was the last step that couldn’t be automated for privacy reasons. There was that one “user” who decided the message didn’t make sense and complain about it. I just replied back with the log files showing that the other 400+ users in the last two weeks manage to understand it.
