AS-5 how much??

Hi,

I have decided to reseat my hsf and wondered how much AS-5 I should use?

Someone suggested the amount of a rice grain, what do you guys think? also when reapplying shall I cover just a tiny space on the IHS or evenly spread the amount of a rice grain all over the IHS??

Please clarify and help...

P.S. Reason why I am reseating because my idle temps and load temps are way too high...atm my opty 170 is idling at 40c....

As said just a rice grain sized blob, there are instructions on the homepage I believe. I personally don't bother spreading it and just let the pressure from the HS spread it out.

BTW 40c idle isnt that bad considering the weather, what are load temps?
