"I would be more suited to Inter Milan or Real Madrid, It wouldn't be a problem for me to manage those clubs because I would win the double or the league every time."

Although happy in his current role, Allardyce added: "Give me Manchester United or Chelsea and I would do the same, it wouldn't be a problem.
"It's not a problem to take me into the higher reaches of the Champions League or Premier League and would make my job a lot easier in winning it."

He is trolling, yes?

He's not trolling. He genuinely believes he's that good.

As I said in the banter thread, the funniest thing about all this is that he more than likely applied for the Inter and Real jobs in the summer.

Surely he cant believe that! Muppet.

He's an ok manager and really cant see him being at a bigger club than where he is at the moment, maybe a Spurs or Villa one day, but in Milan or Madrid.....what's he be smoking. Can you imagine Real Madrid playing like Bolton used to .... watch out long ball coming over.

Hmm, some people are saying the FULL quotes are basically Sam Alladyce taking the mick out of daft questions from a reporter, which I could understand, however, thats how bad the press are getting, particularly football sites, utterly misinterpreting quotes on purpose to completely change a story.

I've seen it hinted that someone was asking him if Hughes is better suited to a lower team like Fulham or blackburn rather than City(where he lost less games than the next manager) and if Fat Sam is taking the pee and basically making the reporter look like a ****, then fair play.

Its very believable due to how truly awful football reporters are becoming at twisting stories.

Doesn't make Fat Sam any less of a **** though, just, he has a point if he's taking the mick this time.

Give Avram Grant the Chelsea side and he finishes one point off winning the league and runners up in the CL..........................................

Give Allardyce the AC Milan team and I'd be rooting around for Serie B streams in a year. Obviously I'd love him to be in charge of Inter :D

Allardyce can't manage his weight let alone real madrid. I wonder if he would have Real playing long ball? Imagine how many fouls Blackburn would make if they played in la liga!

He's unbelievably arrogant.

Unfortunately I get to watch his drivel week in, week out being a season ticket holder at Ewood.

Good manager, but definitely has a misplaced sense of his own importance. I'm not sure if it's the same interview but he also claimed that he misses Benitez on account of how Rafa "hated" him for getting under his skin. Yeah, sure Sam, I bet Rafa's crying into his cereal in Milan, about how his team struggled to a win and a draw over your lot last season, and trounced you the season before.

Also love the "I'm as good a coach as Wenger!" whine. Yeah, but Arsene's still miles better as a complete manager, mate.

Who was the Newcastle player who got in **** for once daring to ask Allardyce what the players were supposed to do when they actually got the ball? Genius line that was.

I heard the interview and it did seem like he was having a bit of a laugh tbh, I dint think he was being serious tbh.

Still doesnt stop him from be a **** tho:p

To all the 'how dare he' comments, I'd take a million of these over the usual 'we could possibly not be unworse than the other team... on a bad day' tripe the cautious top men usually wheel out for conferences (almost shows why with this kind of thread). If he was taking the **** fair enough, even if not at least it makes things exciting.
