Anybody tried this? I know the Shin-Etsu X23 that's pre-applied is pretty darn good, but seeing as I ruined it yesterday when mounting my H60 and OCUK don't stock it, I went with AS5. I just hope it'll work as well/better. I know it does have a longer break-in period, but I'm planning on tinting it to reduce it somewhat. Thoughts?

AS5 is a proven quality paste and a forum staple along with MX and ic diamond etc...

You may get better results - but that could just as easlily be due to a better contact/applied paste.

Basically, it's good gunk.

MX-5 is good, but the shin-etsu is pretty good as well.

I saw a slight drop going to IC diamond, but not statistically significant.

Good stuff. Will take care not to drop the fastening screws on the heatsink this time around. :D Also getting some isopropyl from a place in town this afternoon.
