I've noticed that the Conroe chip (I guess all LGA775 chips) have a bevelled heatspreader. When you're applying AS5 on it, do you just do the top bit or cover the entire IHS?

 (noobish question Im sure)

Ah, but some have a sharp edge. Just cover the flat part.

I just placed a small blob of AS5 on the centre of the heatspreader, and let the heatsink spread it out.

My temps are excellent at Stock and at 3.2Ghz 1.35v (TT Blue Orb II)

Stock:
Idle 27c, Load 35c

3.2Ghz (1.35v):
Idle 29~31c, Load 40c

I spread it across the heat spreader thinly (yes I didn't read the instructions :p ) when using an AC Freezer 7 Pro.

Now the AS5 seems to have "bedded in" or whatever it does, I'm getting core temps (via a core temp monitor software) of 34 idle, up to 40 under load, at a mild overclock of 2.2 ghz (E6300 processor). Think thats pretty good.
