Ascertaining the build date of a new Fiesta?

You may well keep it 10 years or so, in which case I agree it will make little difference but it's always worth considering how the two models will differ in value over time.

If for some reason you needed or wanted rid in a few years then the extra value could make all the difference.

Only you will know the financial situation though, if you're happy with the na 1 litre then go for it. Have you checked the likes of drive the deal etc for a discounted price on the 1.0t to compare against?

Good little car these. We took a test drive in the new 1L 125bhp Titanium X version last weekend and it was an impressive car. Interior design sucked nuts to my eyes, buttons EVERYWHERE, but a good little car and the engine is an impressive thing for such a small lump.

A quick update to my original question.

I visited the dealer last week, who gave me all the details I needed.

It turns out that the build date was actually 31st January 2013 which was later than I expected. Apparently it came out of Ford's Cologne plant (in Germany) which also gives me a bit of encouragement.

I was given a choice of registration plates, but there wasn't really anything that interesting on offer, so went with LMO in the end. (Reminds me of 'Elmo', who I know well!

All set now to pick it up on 1st March. :)
