I only ever fill up with the premium fuels if I pull up to a pump and the pump for the boggo is out of order. Can't say I've ever noticed a difference that makes the price difference worthwhile.
Currently got £30 worth of Morrisons finest petrol in the tank (was running out), car gets less mpg and doesn't pick up as quickly.
I usually run on V-Power since the engine is specificaly designed and recommened for 98Ron min.
Results depend on the engine, for most cars it will make very little to no difference.
87?
Isn't that like, the crappiest American fuel you can get?
I only fill 1/2 tank at a time as I'm told there are additives in v power that evaporate off eventually...

All i can say in response to this frankly ludicrous thread is that its fairly clear that a lot of you do not have scientific backgrounds![]()
I used to use sainsbury's, got about 29mpg, tesco 99 gets me about 35mpg and Shell V power gets me 38mpg and the car sounds smoother (mk5 gti)

Firstly, 33% more mpg? Yes, sure, whatever.
Secondly, this has to be the best post of the thread so far. You only put half a tank in once so the additives don't evaporate? Just... lol?
