Asda vs Shell V-Power Nitro+

i bow to your superior knowledge o great one... seriously? Just posting my findings and what i've been told.. But oh wait...it's the internet so you must be 100% right...lol

Did you not stop to consider that what you had been told was perhaps totally untrue before adopting a bizarre policy of only filling up to half way?

What car are we talking about here?

The only way that those incredible petrol mileage claims can have any possible credibility is if the car is something with a rather special map on it, and the ECU is detecting serious pre det on the lower grade, thus throwing the car out of normal operation entirely.

I always put some two stroke in my Astra diesel, certainly not as noisy with it but haven't noticed any increased mpg.

How can you even accurately measure MPG if you only fill it 'half way'?
How the **** do you know how much half a tank even is?

This is probably the best example of the sort of utter rubbish people post in threads about fuel. It's bizarre, isn't it?

Firstly, 33% more mpg? Yes, sure, whatever.

Secondly, this has to be the best post of the thread so far. You only put half a tank in once so the additives don't evaporate? Just... lol?

lol.

Would it be worth running a couple of tanks through on a Focus 1.8TDCi with 160,000 miles? Would an additive be better? It's very hit and miss with performance recently.
