Asetek 690LS Cooler / Antec 1200

Hiya folks!

I'm looking to upgrade to a overclocked system with an Asetek 690LS AIO CPU cooler. I've been told the 360mm radiator will go fine in the front of my case, but I'm thinking - is that with the drive cages or not? I've got a couple of drives in their already!

Any thoughts?

any reason for that case? looks seem outdated and features can be found in other cases

I gave a budget of circa 150 quid and a window - any size. Want would you recommend then? I reckon it's something to do with the fact that the Cooler Master Trooper SE case looks not dissimilar to my Antec 1200!

as that case us HUGE!!!! 9 PCI slots....

if your needing a lot of room or storage with smaller footprint, can find cases to match and look more within current casing styles

Just one with a window, black really. Metalll is good. Plenty of room for a 240mm rad.

rad is thicker i believe at 37mm then most CLC at 30mm

it's now a 670LT,, the cooler. A 690LS / i9-9900k was a bit OTT!

Cant find thickness detail on that model, either its thicker or using newer gen pump

All I know is it's a 240mm / 2 fan one, rather than the 360mm / 3 fan 690LS.

all of those cases can handle 30mm 240 CLC up top or in the front. if it is thicker and wanted to mount at the top - Phanteks p600/ Dynamic or 678C would handle it fine

At the moment I have a 5.25 slot cover giving me several USB 3/2 ports - a couple of ports isn't enough. There was a time when new cases had loads of slots available at the front, but nowadays it seems that new cases are clean and free of - anything!

USB2 ports arent needed if theres usb3 ports on there since older devices can be used on them, saves space, cables and cost. some like the Dynamic/p600s/678c have USB C ports on them as well.

Most users will plug at the back of the mother boards I/O as depending on your mobo chipset, these are native and dont run off 3rd party controllers.

corsair 678c and Phanteks pro M also allow 5.3" drive to be used as well
