ashampoo dvd burn issue

I'm using ashampoo burning Rom 2010 but can't get a 1.2gb film to burn properly. It does write some data but the progress bar doesn't move then fails after a few minutes:
The file is a ripped blue man group show dvd. The reason for it is that its in us format and won't play on my dvd player so rather than just playing it on my pc I could have a copy for watching on tv.

Any ideas on why its not burning properly? I tried burning it at 16x then at 4x but neither worked.

Ashampoo has always worked perfectly for me so it must be a problem with the actual rip your using. You could try using DVD Shrink to rip the movie instead and then burn with Ashampoo or try using Convert X to DVD to burn the existing rip you have.

I think it was any dvd convertor that I converted it with (AVI) so either I'll give it another go to another format or see about using DVD Shrink to see if that makes any difference this evening.
