¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I've got a gigabyte p965 ds3, is there any way to give it ASIO functionality? I'm using the digital output for what it's worth...

Sorry to bump - but does this really work as well as a dedicated low latency soundcard?

i.e. will my Asus P5W onboard sound perform as well as my E-MU 0404 pci card?

The latency was a little lower (only 1 or 2ms) on my E-mu 1212m than it is compared to onboard.

I can't tell the difference myself, but some people might...

The only annoying thing is ASIO4all keeps forgetting my buffer settings, perhaps a new version may have fixed this.

I've intalled v2 just now and been testing out with onboard Realtek, and noticed a lot of pops and bumps indicating latency issues. I've set it to 512 samples (12ms in FL Studio) which should be ok.

I guess I should stick to the 0404. I would like the PCI slot back though for a proper wireless card, hence looking at this.

Is the E-mu 0202 USB any good?

Yep I ran outta PCI slots too. :(

I'm not sure about the E-mu 0202 USB, but I know the E-mu 0404 USB gets very good reviews...

Another option would be to use a USB wireless adaptor and stick the 0404 PCI in the PCI slot.

Yeah much cheaper to do that, and nowt wrong with the current 0404.

I guess this should go in networking, but seeing as you have good taste in kit - any recommendations on a new wireless USB stick + ADSL router combo?

Sorry I didn't see this thread until now, I used to use a D-link USB wifi adaptor a while back, seemed to work ok, and seemed to get a similar connection speed to my PCI wifi card. :)

I'm sure that if you make a thread in networking you'll get recommendations for specific models... I'm more into my sound that networking. ;)
