I got 2 shut off isolation valves fitted under my sink, 1 hot 1 cold.

The plumber charged me for the valves.
Couplings, some other valves...fine... Whatever..... Yeah yeah

Then for 3m of pipe of which he's literally used 2x 10cm cuts.

Is that normal? 40 quids worth of stainless steel plated copper pipe.

I assume he just pockets the rest for the next job and charges them for 3m too
1x 2995mm pipe

This is normal? ****Ing Swedish cowboy ****.

****** me off i could easily do the job myself but wife surprised me by paying £275 quid (Sweden money) and I'm supposed to be happy.

Its a difficult one isnt it, is it common there for people to use SS copper pipe ? or was it a bit unusual for your job ? (in the UK its all just copper mostly)
If he didnt have the pipe already, he had to buy it, if hes charged you for the whole 3m he should have at least offered the rest of it to you to keep.

For comparison you can get 2m copper pipe for £15 here :):o

But yes I expect that's fairly common, if they need a pipe they are usually in 2-3m lengths, never-mind the fact they probably have literally tons of small offcuts in the van.... ;)

Ok

That makes sense. Charge every customer for 3m pipe and pocket the offcuts for pure profit.
I'm writing to the company and asking for my 2 meters of copper pipe back then I'm gonna go beat a moose to death with it.
They messed up a tax deduction on the bill anyway so we have a good reason to call.

most of my family are trades men and i honestly think we would have asked. It seems tight to use only a tiny bit of a massive expensive pipe and then drive off with it without even asking.

but things like half a bag of cement or sand or whatever then yes we would assume you did not want to keep that.
