Asking a question on the NZXT Sentry LXE Touch Screen Fan Controller

Do I have to install it in the PCI slot? I'm buying the Corsair Carbide 540 High Airflow case, but both 5.25 slots in the case are being used for other stuff. So I thought I would buy this fan controller. Can I put the pci card that comes with the fan controller in the back of the case? Or do I have to mount the card. I don't have a PCI slot free?

from the looks of the PCI card it would appear it doesnt need to be mounted in a slot.

Thats from looking at the pics, i cannot g'tee the above however

yep, looks like it mounts in one of the case expansion slots.

The Corsair case you have mentioned looks to have 8 expansion slots how are you using all of these?

It doesn't plug into the mainboard so a PCI slot isn't required. It just needs an expansion slot.

Just to let you know, your cables won't be as neat as those, mine are all cable tied/taped up. I'm planning on braiding them soon though.

It wont matter. It'll be at the bottom on the case and I'll also do what you did and tape them together
