ASP and PHP - Recommended Reading?

I can't really make any recommendations regarding books, but I'd suggest looking into ASP.NET rather than the original ASP, as it's far, far more powerful and has more support (albeit is also rather more complex).

TBH I wouldn't bother with a book. Learning by doing is always the best way.
Think of a small system you want to make, photo gallery, diary, bug tracker and get cracking. Break the task down into chunks, like creating/reading a database entry and google for that if you need to.

http://www.tizag.com/ is a really good site which has lots of things broken down into little easy to understand sections.
Alternatively, probably any OReilly book on the subject (based on the quality of every other OReilly book i've had)
