Hi. Hope someone can help.

The root web.config on a site I am working on has custom error handling that I do not want to edit

I have a folder off root that I want to override the custom error handling in the root web.config.

I have tried putting another web.config in the folder with:
<customErrors mode="Off">
</customErrors>
but this has not changed anything.

I can not create this folder as an application.

If there is a way to do this, please let me know. I would even settle for a way to override than erro handling for a single page.

I need to prevent a page redirect when an error occurs - this page is inside out "radio player" and when it fails, it currently redirects the entire window to another effectively killing the stream.

I am getting timeouts on Pages X, Y and Z using HttpWebRequest, even though I have set timeouts on it and try to catch exceptions.

Pages X and Y are new .net pages I created for this player, and we thought the problem was confined to them, but it turns out page Z has been having this problem, but it was not noticed as the page was hardly ever used.

Page Z has been ther as it is for ages and I have not touched it, so it is not what I have done that's the problem.

For now I just need to prevent a timeout redirecting, hence I need to overwrite error handling found in web.config
