Sometimes screen sizes are rounded to the nearest whole number, I believe some 16:9, 24" monitors are actually 23.6", also 16:10, 24" monitors are actually 24.1"
Here is a great website to compare screen sizes and aspect ratios
The example in the link is a 16:9, 24" versus a 16:10, 24"
I have a duel screen setup with a 16:9 and a 16:10 and side by side you do notice the size difference. Unfortunatly by 16:10 needs the caps replacing as it flickers occasionally so it's the secondary (It was dead, but was revived with 90p's worth of resisotrs ).
