Well, looking at either one of these for a Christmas present, but can't seem to decide.

Both have 6 cell batteries (One will in December), 1GB RAM, and 1024 x 600 screens, although the NC10 has a 10" one.

One thing that drew me to the One was the SSD...but lots of people have been saying that it is quite slow? Would I notice the difference between a netbook with a SSD and one with a HDD ?

Personal opinions - if you have used either, or even both of them, what did you make of them? Advantages? Disadvantages?

Many thanks!

Never mind, probably going to shell out extra for the NC10, reviews look very good :)

Would personally go for the NC10 (although bias as I own one :p) Brilliant keyboard and the trackpad has normal buttons at the bottom as opposed to the sides on the Asus :o

You won't be disappointed ;)

Typing this on my NC10 :D
So i am also bias but would highly recommend it.
Keyboard is just perfect. used to it within a few mins :D

Personal preference I think!
I never tried the NC10 as I wanted to spend £200 and get the best for that, so I got the ONE and love it for the price.

Looking back on it I would like the NC10 for the extra space on the screen but not worth £80 personally!

I thought the acer one was 8.9 and the samsung was 10.2? Not only that its a bigger hdd six cell and nicer keyboard. Also heard varying reports to acers build quality.

I have tried both and went for the NC10. There wasn't much in it but I do like the slightly bigger screen and keyboard. I love the battery life! 6hrs+

Both will give you good service.
