Hi all

I have purchased an Asrock Steel Legend b580 and am more than happy with it , the issue is it draws a lot of power when idle. Looking across various forums including this one it seems the fix is to enable aspm in your motherboard bios and then enable L1.

The issue is i cant find this anywhere in the bios and have even searched within it.

Its an amd motherboard if that helps. i have also read the manual with no joy :(

Anybody have this board and can offer some help

cheers

I took a look in the BIOS manual, couldn't see it either.

There's some talk that the option is hidden.

Are you running a later BIOS?

Yeah its a new build and latest bios was installed
Did you try doing the necessary Windows config anyway (in the power management options)? It might be enabled by default.

I think the ASRock software has a power saving mode, it is possible that this would enable it.
