I can't afford to do a full upgrade at once, so I was thinking of doing it in stages...

Has anyone had problems with the above board, any horror stories?

Does it work in okay in Vista etc?

Is this a good way to upgrade in stages ?

If i shove a Core Duo 6600 in it with my Ati XT1950 512mb AGP am i going to see a massive performance change?

Currently running AMD 3500 / DDR PC3200 1GB

Will this increase my box life a lot ?

Thanks

I was looking at going for a e6600, i heard they were good chips and good to OC, but if this board doesnt allow u to OC that much, is it still worth it?

At the moment, it takes me an average 5-6minutes to load up BF2142 and join a game, its ages. I'm just hoping for a real improvement...

I would only be looking at changing the chip atm.

will i still get good performance out of the e4400 and notice a difference compared to my 3500 + ?

what would be the difference in games ? minimal vs. 6600 ?

If i got for the overclocking option, what kinda CPU fan would I need?
