Asrock 4coredual which PCI-E card?

Hi guys

Just bought a Asrock 4CoreDual and I know that there are incompatibility problems with Nvidia's 8xxx range (thanks to nvidia not going to PCI-E spec blah blah).

Will a 2900XT work in the PCI-E slot on this board? (has anyone tried?

AFAIK the 8800's work but you must at least use 158.19 nvidia drivers.

Really, that is honestly the first time i've even seen a comment 'suggesting' they work! Wow..that is real good news if it's true

I think I may be able to somehow sell a kidney for a 8800gts on the 4coredual lol

8800's are near the bottom of the list :cool:

fab

won't be able to afford one for a while, but... I quickly put maximum settings on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and wow... looks amazing, totally different game to the 'high' settings with static lighting. Ok.. totally unplayable as about 5 fps , but looks fabulous

That might inspire me a bit.
