Asrock 939 Dual Sata settings

I have this board with an AMD64 4000+ and am struggling to get a decent performance out of it. I previously had an asus av8 board with a mobile athlon @ 2400 and could get a 3dmark05 score of over 5000. I'm struggling to get half that with this latest board/cpu even though the rest of my rig is unchanged. I've had the 4000+ @ 2800 but with little impact. I have tried turning off the "Cool and Quit" feature in the bios, however, my machine just hangs at boot. Can anyone suggest bios settings for this board?

2 x 256 3200, 1 x 512 3200

Also if you haven't formatted since changing the mobo/CPU make sure your drivers are sorted out
