Has anyone noticed any oddities with this board regarding the sataII speed ?
Although I havent taken time to see how my hd works on the sata1 ports, the drive seems to take a fair while to boot windows on the sata2 port. HD (maxtor 120g) on ide port is far faster booting.
The sata2 drive is a Samsung spinpoint 250 and i have the 2.07 jmicron drivers installed. HDTach does show the drive working at sata2 speeds.
Then theres the AGP driver 2.30. or it could be the fault of the ati drivers (Cat 6.5). the 2D tests in PCMarkl 04 / 05 show my X800 underachieving in the 2d 64 line tests by several hundred frames compared to same card on my AXP 3200 system and I cant seem to do anything to rectify this.
