Hi I've just ordered the above board and a A64 X2 4400 Toledo core.
As I plan to overclock and probably change the BIOS a bit can somebody tell me which BIOS chip the board uses. I've looked on the Bios Saviour website and can't find the board listed.
I have a Bios saviour chip in my Abit NF7-s 2 board. It's the RD1 - PMC4 version. Will this transfer to the Asrock board?

Thanks H@mmer.

firstly, what the hell is bios saviour,
secondly, why would you need it?
third, everything to do with your board is here, http://www.asrock.com/product/939Dual-SATA2.htm

1 It sits inbetween your BIOS chip and mainboard and contains on board memory.

2 You can then flash the memory on the Bios saviour and leave your original BIOS chip alone. If your BIOS flash goes wrong you still have your original BIOS chip to boot from. I've had 2 boards fail on BIOS flashes in the past. If you have ever had a BIOS flash failure you will know what I'm talking about.

3 The site does not give me the number on the BIOS chip. I need the number to make sure I order the correct saviour.

Details here

Hope this helps you locutus12. If you have the above board if you peel the sticker off the BIOS chip the number I require is on top of the chip.

Thanks Lee

They have changed the way they select what type of saviour you need. Any chance you could look here please. Sorry to be a pain.

They are well worth the money. The first time I had a failure was on an Epox board and I could only get a replacement chip from Holland. Second time was on this board Abit NF7-s2. I got a new chip and a BIOS saviour. It's just nice to know when you are trying to find the optimum BIOS for your board that a bad flash can be cured with a flick of a switch and a reboot.
I'd thought I'd get one for the new board as I'll be doing a bit of tweaking and overclocking. Would like to find out the details so I could install it before I put the boardin the machine.
