ASrock 939dual-SATA2 Question

Im going to be ordering this mobo in the morning along with a x1800xt from ocuk, are there any known issues with that motherboard and giel value ram ? or more specifically running 4 sticks of ram in the board ?

Im gunna have to use 4x512 sticks till i can get it sold and invest in some 2x1gb modules

It'll be your CPU core that determines whether it is happy with 4 sticks, more than the memory. Most of the recent ones, Venice, San Diego etc are happy at DDR400.

Ok i have a opty 146 that clocks nicely too 2.9ghz on my current neo2 plat board

If it is happy with 4 sticks now (should be), then it'll most likely be happy in the Asrock

939 single core Opterons are San Diego cores, incase you don't know.

running 4 sticks means of course no 1T, but then 1T with this board can have its instability issues, with word and some flash sites through firefox,are some common complaints
