Bought this motherboard around 8 months ago with a view to upgrading to ryzen 3 cpu in the future. Used it as a apu rig for a few months with a 2200 g installed works perfectly.
Fast forward to 3 weeks ago and brought a 3600 from Ocuk.
Upgraded bios to 3.3 as this supports new generation cpu.
Cue endless bootlooping, maybe get to a bios screen after a hard shutdown and reboot.
Ram auto underclocked to 2100mhz( rated @ 3000).
No visible storage (m2 hard drive installed).
New bios released 3.40, installed that and no different.
Another updated bios released 3.50 daren,t install that as I may lose bios screen altogether.
A few folks on asrock forums in the same boat although different mobos.
I could be hanging on forever waiting for a working bios from asrock although that cpu is on the supported list.
2 nd gen ryzen is looking a better bet atm.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks for your replies guys, much appreciated.
Have a few more steps I can work through now before losing faith.
Cheers

I'm having another go tomorrow, my old 6600 k rig is still assembled luckily, if I hadn't got a backup I'd be well angry.

Did you follow the ASRock BIOS upgrade guide?

Yes I did, board was updated to 3.30 whilst the 2200g was installed and the all in one graphic driver installed.
Updates haven't improved a lot although I can now power down on the power switch and my m2 drive is visible in the bios screen.
Another wasted day today. tried different memory out of another PC. Cmos cleared several times, settings are never saved after reboot and a bios screen is a rarity now. Pc just powers up and down on the fans and the display is occasional.
Resigned to returning new cpu and getting a 2600 or trying to find a new itx mobo that actually works with zen2 that isn't stupid money.

My BIOS was updated by competitor removed before it was shipped out to me. I tried the suggestion of increasing my CPU voltage offset by +50mv and it seems to have solved my blue screens although I haven't done full stress testing yet. But at least I can finally install windows after 4 weeks of problems.

Tried adjusting the cpu voltage but as settings aren't saved on a reboot, not really any help.

Sounds like the board has a fault or maybe the battery needs to be replaced. How are you flashing?
Flashing using instant flash through the bios, every flash completes successfully.
Back on to 3.30 now as 3.50 had horrendous boot reliability and really thought I had borked the board after updating.
Hopefully asrock technical support will forward me a beta bios as they have done for several customers on their forums. They really have dropped the ball on this unless the cpu is faulty, but I believe that's pretty rare.
The motherboard is only 8 months old, cant see the bios battery causing all this crap.
Eyeing up an asus board atm, another £140 just to do fault finding, and might get a 200ge to update it with as it won't come updated. CBA to strip my 2200g out any more just to fault find/update.

Another update, used 200 ge installed and fired up, boots straight into windows,
followed msi procedure to update bios and install 3600.
Bootloops.
Confused as to whether I should buy a 2600 or a new 570 board @ £220?

Fixed it, bought a nice asus gaming itx board and everything worked first boot.
On the asrock forums there 37 pages of people having issues with their boards and little in the way of resolutions.
After 6 weeks, Asrock are still banging out beta bioses that dont work by all accounts.
