Hi folks,

Has anyone noticed this before? I was tracking a bad bearing in one of my fans (turned out to be a lose jumper hanging on the GFX card, lols). I've now got my PC on my desk and realised neither of my Noctua case fans are spinning up. They're plugging in FAN3 and FAN4 from what I can tell. The CPU fan works fine.

Any tips to fix it?

Checked the fan curve/reference temperature is correct and/or what mode the headers are in pwm/rpm?
I'm not sure where to start w.r.t fan curve etc. Is that bios? I've never bothered with this - normally just plugged and played!

I did load up MSI Afterburner and it let me do a "fan test" which allowed me to power them up; but as soon as the test finished they went dormant again. The case is definitely hot. I don't even think the GPU fan is spooling up.

Just reminded myself - and If you remember, a few weeks back I said the fans were going mad spooling up and going back down again --- only just noticed now I have no chassis fans.

Had a quick look at BIOS - it was set to "Silent" which I guess is very accepting of hot temps. I've put it to normal which sees them spin silently from start-up.

Not sure I have many options to improve airflow in this - anything totally bonkers?

* Only one fan on the PSU so it's just a heat grill vs. proper exhaust
* Needs a top fan for the GPU really but it hasn't cooked yet.

I've bought a new PSU to replace this one which'll afford fewer cables (fully modular).

Set the 80mm exhaust to in and the CPU cooler to up? Won't help much I wager. Most probably a waste of time.

The best thing to do is probably leave the side panel off! The inverted setup usually makes the GPU run hot :(.
