Im confused, the mobo manual (for AsRock ConRoe945G-DVI ) doesnt match my Sugo-SG01 labels for the audio headers.

On the motherboard I have:

GND
MIC2_L
PRESENCE
MIC2_R
MIC_RET
OUT2_R
J_SENSE
OUT_RET
OUT2_L

And the Sugo:

GROUND
MIC_IN
MIC_POWER
L_OUT
R_OUT
L_RET
R_RET

The instructions state:

MIC_IN (MIC) to MIC2_L
AUDIO_R(RIN) to OUT2_R and Audio_L (LIN) to OUT2_L
GND to GND
MIC_RET and OUT_RET (FOR HD audio Panel)

GND, MIC_IN and OUT2_R and OUT2_L make sense but the others dont! (MIC_POWER, L_RET and R_RET)

Can any of you guys help??

Cheers:)

You have HD Audio headers and AC97 headers.

Google on "difference headers AC97 Azalia"

That should help. It will work though.

There is very little info on the Sugo/ HDa but i assume it doesnt support it. The motherboard instruction manual states how to put the headers on (as above) but there is no mention of several case headers.

I have looked a lot for your search combination but I am still none the wiser sorry!

I'm saying nothing about your google skills, but connect up the pin header as shown here. In the BIOS you may have to select AC97 Audio or it may do it automatically, I can't remember at the moment.

I looked a while - would have been easier to post that in the first place;)

Cheers for the help.:)

It would have been easier for you. Not for me. Firstly I had to download the ASRock 945G-DVI manual, check that it did indeed have Azalia HD Audio, and that it's motherboard pin configuration was pin-compatible with the AC97 cables on the Silverstone SG-01. Then I had to find you a diagram that shows the HD Audio pin connectors and the AC97 connectors on the same pinout diagram so it would be simple for you to connect up. Not only did I have to type that into google, I had to look down through about 5 posts, identify the one that easily allowed you to hook up your case header cable to your motherboard, and then I had to cut and paste the link for you. And then I suddenly realised that I had closed the ASRock PDF file and that to check the BIOS settings I'd have to download it again, so I thought, sod it, he can check that himself, he's probably got the manual in the box.

So, don't mention it ;)
