asrock dual sata/ arctic freezer pro

Is a back plate needed for this combo to work? Im confused as to whether I need to buy/bodge one to get it to fit

K3v, no you don't need a backplate. The Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro clips onto the retention brackets like the standard HSF. They can be a bit fiddly to fit on a Dual SATA, depending on your case layout, but I've never had any problems when fitting one on my DS.

You do need the standard backplate that comes with the motherboard though as the retention bracket screws into this, I know some second hand boards dont come with the backplate or retention bracket as people lose them.

I seem to remember reading that this board isnt supplied with one? or have i got it totally wrong!
