Hi all I was just wondering what the setting in the bios was that turns off the USB ports when the system is turned off, My lights on my joystick are left on when the pc is off and its doing my head in.

There isn't an option.

When turned off from within Windows or even by the front case switch the motherboard isn't off but in a very deep sleep, bit like standby but deeper. USB keyboards and mice can, in theory, turn it back on again. That's why they remain powered.

If the joystick is in device manager, maybe theres a power management tab to 'allow the computer to turn off the device to save power'

Isn't going to help, the joystick stays on when the computer is off, so Windows has nothing to do with it :)

wouldn't it be easier to just turn it off at the wall?? If i'm not leaving my machine on all night i trip the surge protector so nothings getting in at all. Saves having to go round turning off speakers, router, screen, printer etc.

Just a note, my Saitek joystick has 1 blue led on the top and that goes OFF when the PC is powered down.
