Hi all I was just wondering what the setting in the bios was that turns off the USB ports when the system is turned off, My lights on my joystick are left on when the pc is off and its doing my head in.
When turned off from within Windows or even by the front case switch the motherboard isn't off but in a very deep sleep, bit like standby but deeper. USB keyboards and mice can, in theory, turn it back on again. That's why they remain powered.
wouldn't it be easier to just turn it off at the wall?? If i'm not leaving my machine on all night i trip the surge protector so nothings getting in at all. Saves having to go round turning off speakers, router, screen, printer etc.
