Asrock EXT4 GEN3 audio?

Hi guys,

Sorry for my ignorance but I have never had a sound card on any computer I have owned. I currently use an Asrock Ext4 Gen3 mobo and I think the sound is pretty darn good however I have my daughters beats by dr dre and these sound great. If I was to add a soundcard, would I notice much improvement?

Also if there is an improvement, what card would you guys recommend me please?

speaking from experience with a xonar dx soundcard vs my onboard on a gigabyte x58 ud5 and asus p6x58d-8 and this asus z68 v pro mb's i really cant tell any difference,using quality headphones sony mdr-v700 and mid range x530 logitech speakers,maybe with really expensive speakers you would notice but onboard is really good these days imo

i eventually sold my dx card i was constantly fiddling with the software to get the best sound,with onboard i can set and forget
