So Im after a pcie3 x16 x2 board, with 8-10 sata ports and a very good overclocker.

I'm going for Fatal1ty but others have mentioned the extreme4, do they compare and is worth going for the Fatal1ty?

Yea 8-10 since i think the extreme4 has 8 which i can live with.

But yeah im set on Fatal1ty, its people whispering things into my ear which makes me doubt my decision. But Fatal1ty it is (for definite, for now) haha.

I assume you're talking about the Z68 Fatal1ty and Z68 Extreme4 Gen 3.

Both boards have 2 x PCI-E 3.0 slots but:

a) They operate at x8 speed using 2 graphics cards

b) They're only PCI-E 3.0 when you install an Ivy Bridge CPU

c) With a Sandy Bridge CPU and 2 graphics cards you have two x8 speed PCI-E 2.0 slots

Two x8 speed PCI-E 2.0 slots is fine for most setups.

Yep already know this.

Will PCIE3 have the slots running at x8x8 or x16x16

What is the impact of having x8x8 in the long term.
I know there is not much difference in performance between x8x8 and x16x16 in current generation cards and setups but will x8x8 be a problem in a few years from now?
